COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Basic photographs for quick co-diagnosis.
  • Techniques for in-office, custom and pre-filled whitening trays.
  • Utilizing scanning technology to ‘wow’ the patient in a consultation.
  • Organizing supplies according to most frequent use in easy-to-reach areas and grouping the rest by procedure.

This course includes four rotations in dental assisting topics.

1) Digital photography: This hands-on rotation will provide dental assistants with the necessary skills to capture high-quality pre-op and post-op images.

2) Restorative: This rotation takes the complete dental team through proper records gathering, treatment planning and case acceptance and how to include whitening and esthetic dental treatment.

3) Case acceptance: This rotation helps the dental team develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills, patient interaction techniques, and case presentation approaches.

4) Efficiency: Successful inventory control begins with assessing the current situation and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the practice’s systems.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Preoperative diagnosis.
  • Milling and prep for delivery.
  • Ideal patient positioning, tray insertion and mixing.
  • Burr selection and carving techniques.
  • Pre-op impression techniques.
  • Provisional materials for shade-matching.

This course includes four rotations in dental assisting topics.

1) CAD/CAM: This rotation is a comprehensive overview and practical implementation dental assistants can provide as part of the total restorative solution.

2) Impressions: This rotation will present essential tips for excellent support by the dental assistant.

3) Anterior Provisionals: This hands-on portion covers materials, techniques, and concepts in fabricating and maintaining long-term esthetic provisionals.

4) Posterior Provisionals: This hands-on portion covers materials, techniques, and concepts in fabricating and maintaining long-term esthetic provisionals.
